Gaining favor with God is an important detail of life. Without God's favor, the world can have it's way with you and those you love. The most effective way to be in good standing with God is to pray without ceasing, which means subconsciously keeping a portion of your spirit in a state of prayer. It's important to be grateful. Letting God know that you're conscious of the things He's doing in your life and following His lead. Try to go where He wants you to go, because He has prepared your pathways if you're on the path He set you on.
For example. My brother begged me for years to move here to live with him in Boyne City. Life is harder here, so I resisted and put it off. Then in 2024 my ex wife, Amber, who stays with me to help take care of me because I have Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and I moved here. I hate it here. But God had it worked out for Amber to get her driver's license here a year later. Then, Byryder was going to rape me, financially, for a car we didn't like. That got blocked by legalities regarding my driving record, my license has been revoked for 42 years over drunk driving offenses from before I was 18 years old. So, on a whim, we went to a different dealership where God had a guy waiting to put us in a better car for far less money, a car we like. Had we not followed God's lead, then Amber wouldn't have her license nor that car.
We did not want to leave our ministry in Grayling feeding homeless cats and homing their kittens. I fought hard to stay there. But we lost our apartment due to that ministry and had no choice but to move here. Synchronicities kept lining up to ease my mind that we were where we're supposed to be. It's been hard here, but the rewards are worth it. God keeps working things out that I could never accomplish on my own.
There are hurdles and problems, but we stay grateful and things miraculously work out. I'm conscious of God at all times and I try to think of how He'd feel when I do something. I'm in a constant state of prayer in my spirit and a portion of my mind, grateful for everything so far.
The gift from Jesus is free. But as you progress in the faith, your life becomes committed to His service.
So stay grateful and pray that gratitude without ceasing.
